Perfect Wall Bed IKEA Design
A wall bed IKEA, folds up against or into a wall. William Murphy designed these beds more than a hundred years ago to create a comfortable place to sleep but still be able to entertain the guests. These beds are popular in small studio apartments where space is limited or in homes where a home office doubles as a guest room.
This wall bed saves space by functioning as a couch during the day and a bed at night. Some even have a shelf to show or save records. The bed folds vertically against the wall with a frame to hold it in place. A small sofa, complete with a horizontal shelf, rests against this folded up bed. If you want to use the bed, pull the shelf towards you as you lower the bed. When the bed is in place, the shelf rests on two legs.
The wall bed and table is another suitable way to save space. The folded out table fits one or two people. It can also work as a desktop. Fold the table up before you drag the bed down to sleep. Alternatively pull the table away so that it rests horizontally when the bed is folded upwards. Some versions have a mirror on one side of the table.
